Soccer Game Preview: Calabasas vs. Oaks Christian

The Calabasas Coyotes will venture away from home to face off against the Oaks Christian Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Calabasas is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Newbury Park just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They and the Panthers finished up their match with a 0-0 draw. The result kept the Coyotes happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 13th.

Meanwhile, Oaks Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Agoura.

Calabasas' draw makes their record 8-3-2 this season. As for Oaks Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14-1.

Calabasas took their victory against Oaks Christian when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Calabasas since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
