Basketball Recap: Greenback Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Greenback lost against Oakdale back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cherokees took a hard 55-40 fall against the Eagles.

Despite the loss, Greenback still got an impressive performance from Elliott Lindsey, who shot 63% from the field on his way to 15 points. Mason Johnson was another key player, putting up seven points.

Greenback's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Oakdale, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenback will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sunbright at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2026. As for Oakdale, they will finish 2025 at home by hosting Sweetwater at 4:45 p.m. on the 29th. The Eagles will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 63.78 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
