There's no place like home for Manistee, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Orchard View Cardinals 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Chippewas have posted since May 28, 2024.

Adam Olson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Eli Workman was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one triple and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Miles Joseph, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Manistee is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Orchard View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
