Basketball Recap: Sioux City North Comes Up Short

Sioux City North lost against Lincoln on January 6th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sioux City North Stars had to suffer through a 79-43 loss at the hands of the Lincoln Lynx. The Stars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-19.

It was another big night for Addie Naughton, who dropped a triple-double on 21 points, 12 boards, and ten assists for Lincoln. Those 21 points gave Naughton a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hutson Rau, who posted 11 points.

Sioux City North dropped their record down to 2-11 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Lincoln, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Le Mars the next time they take the court. Lincoln will head out to face Le Mars at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Sioux City North will host them at 5:30 p.m. on February 4th.
