Volleyball Game Preview: Eaglecrest Raptors vs. Mullen Mustangs

Eaglecrest is 8-2 against Mullen since October of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Raptors will challenge the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Eaglecrest had won two straight road games and Natalia Jarzebczyk did her part to make it three on Saturday. The Raptors came out on top against Chatfield by a score of 3-1 thanks in part to Jarzebczyk, who had 24 assists. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Eaglecrest walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-23, 12-25, 26-24, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Mullen hadn't done well against Cherokee Trail recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cougars.

Mullen never let Cherokee Trail on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 25-19.

Eaglecrest's record now sits at 14-8. As for Mullen, their record is now 15-3.
