Basketball Recap: Central Magnet Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Franklin County

After losing to Franklin County the last time they met, Central Magnet decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Central Magnet walked away with a 46-38 win over the Franklin County Rebels on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given Central Magnet's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while Franklin County is ranked 88th).

Central Magnet's win bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Franklin County, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Magnet will venture away from home to take on Moore County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Franklin County, they will head out on the road to challenge Lawrence County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
