Yuma Catholic is a perfect 8-0 against Kingman since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Shamrocks will take on the Bulldogs at 3:45 p.m. Yuma Catholic is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.
On Wednesday, Yuma Catholic beat Gilbert Christian 6-1.

Mickey Fox spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 13 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Yuma Catholic's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Erik Topete, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. Jose Alatorre was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Kingman entered their tilt with Tonopah Valley on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Phoenix 10-1. Considering the Bulldogs have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Canton Collins was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Collins was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Taelon Thomason, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Garrick Hallman, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.
Kingman pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Yuma Catholic, their record is now 17-1.
Both Yuma Catholic and Kingman just can't seem to miss. The Shamrocks have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.1 hits per game. However, it's not like Kingman struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Yuma Catholic took their victory against Kingman in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Shamrocks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
