Volleyball Recap: Grand Junction Falls Despite Big Games from Haleigh Blaylock and Norah Gruwell + How To Watch

Grand Junction lost against Fruita Monument back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers fell 3-1 to the Wildcats. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Grand Junction started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-17, 25-14, 25-17.

Grand Junction's loss came despite strong showings from Norah Gruwell and Haleigh Blaylock. Gruwell had 16 digs and three assists, while Blaylock had 11 digs and ten assists. Gruwell is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Grand Junction's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Fruita Monument, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Grand Junction will venture away from home to face off against Moffat County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fruita Monument, they will welcome Montrose at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
