Valley Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Resorters. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Valley Christian not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah to exactly 17 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17.

Lizzie Fink paced Valley Christian's offense, picking up seven kills. Fink got some help from Lydia Hardy and her 16 assists. Laila Gostas-Sims controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Coincidentally, Valley Christian and Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah will both be playing Winnebago Lutheran Academy the next time they take the court. The Resorters will head out to face the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
