Basketball Game Preview: Kittson Central Bearcats vs. Warroad Warriors

The Kittson Central Bearcats will square off against the Warroad Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kittson Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Warroad likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, Kittson Central took their match with ease, bagging a 79-52 victory over Clearbrook-Gonvick. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Warroad ended up a good deal behind Stephen-Argyle Central on Friday and lost 80-65. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Warriors came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Storm are ranked 245th).

Kittson Central pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points over those games. As for Warroad, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-2.

Kittson Central couldn't quite finish off Warroad when the teams last played two weeks ago and fell 64-61. Can Kittson Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
