Recap: Randleman Tigers vs. Oak Grove Grizzlies
The Randleman Tigers lost against the Oak Grove Grizzlies back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Randleman took a 43-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oak Grove. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Randleman has scored all season.
Randleman's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Audra Petty, who scored eight points along with four steals. Chenleigh Robinson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Trista Charles was her usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with nine rebounds for Oak Grove. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Charles has scored at least 25% of Oak Grove's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Hadley, who scored two points along with five rebounds and three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Randleman and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Oak Grove, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.
Randleman won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Central Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on December 13th. As for Oak Grove, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Eastern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. Eastern Randolph will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 377th, while Oak Grove is ranked 110th).
