Baseball Recap: Mansfield Takes a Loss

The Mansfield Hornets came up short against the John Carroll Patriots on Thursday and fell 5-2. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mansfield saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Darrian Sanders, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Mansfield now has a losing record of 5-6. As for John Carroll, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mansfield will take on St. John's Prep at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for John Carroll, they will face off against Perkiomen School at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
