There's no place like home for Mt. Zion, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They strolled past the Mattoon Greenwave with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 51-33. This was a revenge game for the Braves: when they faced off against the Greenwave back in December of 2024, they had to take a 54-49 loss.

Mt. Zion's victory bumped their record up to 11-18. As for Mattoon, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 14 of their last 16 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-22 record this season.

When Mt. Zion and Mattoon next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Mt. Zion will face off against Taylorville and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mattoon will try to stop Paris' three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
