Volleyball Recap: Lanham Christian's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Varsity Opponent, Lanham Christian was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the King's Christian Academy Eagles 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lanham Christian was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 13-25, 25-21, 15-6.

Lanham Christian's win ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 5-6. As for King's Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Lanham Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Southern Maryland Christian Academy on the 14th. Hopefully King's Christian Academy paid attention to the Lions' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
