Basketball Recap: Anderson County Extends Winning Streak to Three

Santa Fe Trail came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Anderson County, but Noah Porter wouldn't allow it. The Anderson County Bulldogs came out on top against the Santa Fe Trail Chargers by a score of 58-51 on Friday thanks in part to Porter, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 boards. Porter is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

The win (which was Anderson County's third in a row) raised their record to 4-1. As for Santa Fe Trail, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Anderson County and Fredonia will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Anderson County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.2 points per game this season. As for Santa Fe Trail, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Iola at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
