Soccer Recap: Denton Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Denton). Everything went their way against the Azle Hornets on Tuesday as they made off with a 7-0 victory. Given Denton's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Azle are ranked 359th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Denton's offense was hitting Azle from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Stephen Hayibor led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The win was the fourth in a row for Denton, bringing their record up to 6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four matches. As for Azle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4-1.
