Montague had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They blew past the Ludington Orioles 8-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Dylan Bailey, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Robbie Smith also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Montague pushed their record up to 14-5-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Ludington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montague will challenge North Muskegon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Norsemen's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Ludington, they will take on Orchard View at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
