Soccer Game Preview: North Fort Myers vs. Riverview Sarasota

The North Fort Myers Red Knights will take on the Riverview Sarasota Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as North Fort Myers comes in on ten and Riverview Sarasota on three.

On Tuesday, North Fort Myers made easy work of Riverdale and carried off a 7-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Red Knights, who have now won 12 matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Riverdale with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Hannah Busenbark (5), Megan Bergin, and Jaelyn Hoefer.

Meanwhile, Riverview Sarasota kept a clean sheet against Lemon Bay on Friday. They skirted past the Manta Rays 1-0. The Rams' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

North Fort Myers pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 39 goals over those five games. As for Riverview Sarasota, their win bumped their record up to 10-2-1.
