Johnson Central had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Betsy Layne Bobcats as they made off with a 16-6 win. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by six runs or more this season.

Johnson Central's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Betsy Layne, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 11-17 record.

Coming up, Johnson Central will challenge Pikeville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Betsy Layne, they will venture away from home to take on Martin County at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
