South Guilford HomeSchool hasn't had much luck against South Wake recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Having just played yesterday, the South Guilford HomeSchool Cougars will jump right back in to play the South Wake Sabres at 6:15 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as South Guilford HomeSchool comes in on four and South Wake on ten.
South Guilford HomeSchool picked up another tournament win on Wednesday. They blew past Bluegrass United 49-23. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 28 matches by 21 points or more this season.

South Guilford HomeSchool found their leader in sophomore Kourtney Bullins, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards. The contest was Bullins' third in a row with at least 21 points. Another player making a difference was Isa Bosch, who posted 12 points.
South Guilford HomeSchool was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They are a perfect 33-0 when they've passed the ball that well.
South Wake meant business on Wednesday, getting buckets from all over the court against a Warriors squad that has allowed just 29.39 points per contest. South Wake came out on top against Frederick W by a score of 55-47.
South Guilford HomeSchool better keep an eye on Rebekah Hartzell. She was instrumental in South Wake's win, putting up 21 points and five rebounds. Hartzell has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. Savannah Taylor was another key player, posting six points in addition to eight boards and six steals.
South Guilford HomeSchool's record is now 35-4. As for South Wake, their record is now 34-2.
Thursday's game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Bullins and Hartzell. Bullins has been dynamite this season: she has averaged 15.7 points, 1.7 blocks, and 2.4 steals. For her part, Hartzell has averaged 17.8 points, 3.6 steals, and 4.4 assists on 54.9% shooting.
South Guilford HomeSchool came up short against South Wake in their previous matchup on Saturday, falling 38-32. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Hartzell, who went 5-for-10 en route to 22 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Now that South Guilford HomeSchool knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
