South Knox waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Pike Central Chargers 7-1. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Chargers two weeks ago, they had to take a 4-3 loss.

South Knox's victory bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Pike Central, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Knox will welcome Evansville Bosse at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.71 runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Pike Central, they will be playing at home against Forest Park at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
