Volleyball Recap: Brunswick Find Success

It was close, but on Tuesday the Brunswick Blue Devils sidestepped the Lorain Titans for a 3-2 win.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Brunswick got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-27, 25-19, 20-25, 15-5.

Brunswick had a senior duo take command as Ashlie Lieb had 16 digs and two aces and Alexis Must had 12 digs and two aces. Lieb is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 11 games she's played.

Brunswick's victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 6-12. As for Lorain, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five matches and leaves them with a 12-6 record.

Brunswick has already played their next matchup (against Archbishop Hoban), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lorain, they will be playing at home against Vermilion at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
