The Homer-Center Wildcats will square off against the West Shamokin Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Homer-Center is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
Homer-Center's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over Summit Academy. Considering the Wildcats have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Brayden Rado was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Noah Turk, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Homer-Center hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in seven consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, West Shamokin unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of Purchase Line by a score of 10-9.
Braden Talmadge made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gunnar Shoop, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Homer-Center pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for West Shamokin, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
Homer-Center skirted past West Shamokin 3-2 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
