Softball Recap: Montour Comes Up Short

Montour started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Upper St. Clair. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 7-6 on Monday.

Shania Cope made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. She is also on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Hailey Staub was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Montour now has a losing record of 2-3-1. As for Upper St. Clair, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Montour will challenge rival South Fayette at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Upper St. Clair is set to square off against their familiar foe West Allegheny at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
