Football Recap: Denver West Skates Past Alameda with Ease + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Denver West). They blew past the Alameda Pirates, posting a 59-6 victory. The Cowboys haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Leading Denver West to victory were Marcelo Ortiz and King Stancil. Ortiz rushed for 75 yards and three scores on only eight carries, while Stancil gained 83 total yards. Stancil didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made six total tackles.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Denver West was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 208 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
