Open Door Christian took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Valley Forge, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Open Door Christian had just enough and edged out Valley Forge 9-7. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Open Door Christian as it put an end to their nine-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Ian Reed, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Nikkos Poulos was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Hopewell-Loudon hit Danbury with a four-run second inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lakers lost 13-3 to the Chieftains. The defeat continues a trend for the Lakers in their meetings with the Chieftains: they've now lost seven in a row.

Dylan Kenley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Miles McDonald also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Danbury's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Open Door Christian, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-13.
