Football Recap: Lone Oak Skates Past Winona with Ease + How To Watch

Lone Oak won the last time they faced Winona and things went their way on Friday too. The Buffaloes took their match with ease, bagging a 47-6 win over the Wildcats. The Buffaloes pushed the score to 37-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats had no chance of recovering from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lone Oak to victory, but perhaps none more so than Colt Bowman, who rushed for 62 yards and one TD. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex McCallum, who rushed for 70 yards and one score on only seven carries.

Winona's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Easton Smotherman, who rushed for 32 yards and one touchdown, and Jayden Mobley, who rushed for 68 yards and one TD.

Lone Oak has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 27 points this season. As for Winona, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
