Volleyball Recap: Pflugerville Connally Comes Up Short

Pflugerville Connally was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bowie Bulldogs. The Cougars were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-12.

Aniya Toney paced Pflugerville Connally's offense, picking up seven kills. Toney got some help from Caroline Benge and her nine assists. Benge was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Pflugerville Connally's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Bowie, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-6.

Pflugerville Connally wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Ellison on the 23rd. As for Bowie, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Judson on the 23rd.
