Volleyball Recap: Vista Grande Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Vista Grande extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Monday, dropping them down to 0-4. They came up short against the Cactus Shadows Falcons, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

As for Cactus Shadows, their record is now 7-2. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Cactus Shadows was led to victory by Gabby Procopio and Mateja Cousins. Procopio had 14 digs and two aces, while Cousins had six assists. That's the most aces Procopio has posted over her last three contests. Sophia Scott also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vista Grande will square off against Cholla at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cactus Shadows, they will take on Mingus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
