Baseball Recap: Camelback Comes Up Short

Camelback was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Maryvale Panthers, falling 28-7. The Spartans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Jhonny Ramirez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. Cesar Fernandez was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Camelback's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Maryvale, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Panthers beat Camelback by a score of 4-3 on Thursday.
