Volleyball Recap: High Tech CV Takes a Loss

High Tech CV and Morse squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but High Tech CV had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Vanesa Carrera paced High Tech CV's offense, picking up nine kills. Carrera got some help from Jasmine Bautista and her 23 assists. Jillian Asiong controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Morse found their leader in freshman Hailee Divina, who had ten digs, six aces, and two blocks. Divina has been hot for a while, having also posted 15 or more assists the last ten times she's played.

High Tech CV's defeat dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Morse, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 21-16 record this season.

High Tech CV does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Morse, they will face off against O'Farrell Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
