Softball Recap: Valmeyer Pirates vs. Steeleville Warriors
Valmeyer scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Friday. They never let the Steeleville Warriors onto the board and left with a 13-0 victory. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded Valmeyer with their most commanding win of the season.
Payton Similey was incredible, scoring a run and stealing five bases while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was Hannah Gideon, who scored a run and stole four bases while going 2-for-4.
The win made it two in a row for Valmeyer and bumps their season record up to 3-3. As for Steeleville, they haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valmeyer will challenge Dupo at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Steeleville, they will head out on the road to face off against Trico at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
