Volleyball Game Preview: Byram Hills Bobcats vs. Rye Neck Panthers

The Byram Hills Bobcats will square off against the Rye Neck Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Byram Hills is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

While Byram Hills' win against Eastchester wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bobcats had just enough and edged out the Eagles 3-2 on Tuesday.

Byram Hills took Eastchester into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-17, 25-27, 15-25, 15-9.

Meanwhile, Rye Neck lost 3-0 to Dobbs Ferry back in September. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21, 25-12.

Rye Neck's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Byram Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

Byram Hills might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Rye Neck in their previous matchup back in September of 2016. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
