Softball Recap: Big Sandy Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Big Sandy had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt West Hardin on Tuesday. The Wildcats blew past the Oilers 12-4. Considering the Wildcats have won four contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Big Sandy's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for West Hardin, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Big Sandy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Oilers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
