Recap: Chaminade Eagles vs. Notre Dame (SO) Knights
The Chaminade Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 94-80 fall against Notre Dame (SO). Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Wednesday (72), Chaminade still had to take the loss.
Bryce Goldman and Jonas Thurman certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Goldman scored 33 points, while Thurman dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Goldman has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Kamden Edwards was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Chaminade has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-9 record this season. As for Notre Dame (SO), the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 22-0.
Chaminade will be playing at home against Harvard-Westlake at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Harvard-Westlake presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Chaminade in California (Harvard-Westlake is ranked second, while Chaminade is ranked 137th). Notre Dame (SO) won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Crean Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on January 20th.
