Baseball Recap: Wise Takes a Loss

Wise was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 25-4 to the Bowie Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pumas of the 20-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Elijah Reed was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Wise's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Bowie, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Wise didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-11 victory against Suitland on the 1st. As for Bowie, they have also already played their next contest, a 19-1 win against Bladensburg on the 3rd.
