Softball Recap: Hitchcock Comes Up Short

Hitchcock lost against Van Vleck back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hitchcock came up short against Van Vleck, falling 12-1. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hitchcock saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Graciella Vanness, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. Those two stolen bases gave Vanness a new career-high.

Hitchcock's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Van Vleck, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3-2.

Hitchcock has already played their next match, a 14-0 loss against East Bernard on the 25th. As for Van Vleck, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-1 win against Brazos on the 25th.
