Wheat Ridge's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Summit Tigers as they made off with a 47-27 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-14.

Wheat Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chase Jenkins led the charge by rushing for 110 yards and three scores on only 12 carries. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Osei, who rushed for 124 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Wheat Ridge was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 324 rushing yards. They are 2-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Wheat Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Orion Kriegbaum - Gaskill and Brayden Samolylich.

Wheat Ridge's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-8. As for Summit, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

As of now, neither Wheat Ridge nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
