Baseball Game Preview: Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers vs. Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms

The Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers will square off against the Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Waterville-Elysian-Morristown will be strutting in after a win while Blooming Prairie will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Waterville-Elysian-Morristown turned things around against Medford on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Tigers.

Brady Murphy and Jackson Dahl did most of the damage at the plate: Murphy went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Dahl got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI. That double marked the first that Murphy has hit this season.

Meanwhile, Blooming Prairie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Lyle/Pacelli.

Blooming Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Waterville-Elysian-Morristown, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-11.

Waterville-Elysian-Morristown might still be hurting after the 12-2 defeat they got from Blooming Prairie when the teams last played back in May of 2024.
