Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for West

West extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 5-5. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 13-12 W against the West Jordan Jaguars. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by just one run.

The team relied heavily on Angelys Tapusoa, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Tina Tuakiapimahu, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: West kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

As for West Jordan, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14. Even though they lost, their still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

On West Jordan's side, Hailey Fox led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. That triple was Fox's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Bunker, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double.
