It was a proper cat-fight when Dunbar took on Glen Rose on Thursday. The Wildcats came up short against the Tigers, falling 43-20. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 720th, while the Tigers are ranked 351st).

Dunbar might have lost, but man, Marcus McDade was a machine: he rushed for 96 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 151 yards and a pair of TDs. Kamron Lloyd was another key player, gaining 97 total yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Brock put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let Bridgeport get on the board and left with a 69-0 victory. The Eagles pushed the score to 62-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulls had no chance of recovering from.

Dunbar better keep an eye on Holt Frazier. He was instrumental in Brock's win, throwing for 206 yards and five touchdowns on only 13 passes. Frazier is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Bryer Mcdonald, who gained 116 total yards and a touchdown.

One reason for the win was Brock's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Waylon Winfrey and Karsen Sullivan, who racked up four sacks between them. Sullivan also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with ten. Braeden Ray got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Brock, adding 15 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Jett Kerr, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Brock's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Dunbar, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Thursday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Dunbar has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 244.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Brock struggles in that department as they've been averaging 222.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
