 The Deuel Cardinals will be staying on the road  on Saturday to face off against the Elkton/Lake Benton Elks at 10:00  a.m. Deuel is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4  runs per game  this season.
 Deuel heads in on the heels of a playoff  contest on Friday. They took  a  10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Florence/Henry.
  Katrina Hagberg was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she  struck out 15 batters over  seven innings while giving up  four earned  (and six unearned) runs off   six  hits. Hagberg has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts every time she's  pitched this season. Hagberg was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Kennedy Harmon was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while going 2-for-4.
 Elkton/Lake Benton lost  15-3 to Gayville-Volin on Friday. Elkton/Lake Benton has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Elkton/Lake Benton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Matti Ramlo, who  went 1-for-3 with a  triple and a  run.
 Deuel's record is now 18-7. As for Elkton/Lake Benton, their record now sits at 8-13.
 Everything went Deuel's way against Elkton/Lake Benton in their previous meeting  back in April as Deuel made off with  a  14-0 win. Will Deuel repeat their success,  or does  Elkton/Lake Benton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
