Softball Recap: Morton Takes a Loss

Morton fell victim to Washington and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 11-0 to the Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Potters of the 11-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Morton dropped their record down to 3-15 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Washington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Morton is set to challenge their familiar foe Canton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Washington will take on rival Metamora at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 1.8, the Redbirds 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
