Anderson County had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They came out on top against the Oak Ridge Wildcats by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Mavericks: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in September, they had to take a 3-2 loss.
While Anderson County might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Oak Ridge scored at least 22 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 19-25, 25-23, 25-22.
Bethany Lowe paced Anderson County's offense, picking up ten kills. Lowe got some help from Julia Owens and her 21 assists. Owens was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Anderson County's victory bumped their record up to 18-15. As for Oak Ridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-20.
Anderson County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Knoxville Central on the 7th. Oak Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
