Baseball Recap: La Sierra Takes a Loss

La Sierra was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Norte Vista Braves. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Jose Pena made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Ethan Jacquez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

La Sierra's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Norte Vista, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-8.

La Sierra didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-1 win against Rubidoux on the 3rd. As for Norte Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 8-4 loss against Jurupa Valley on the 3rd.
