Football Recap: Winnebago Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After soaring to 53 points the game before, Winnebago was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were dealt a 55-7 defeat at the hands of the Byron Tigers. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-0.

Kaeden Langholf threw for 46 yards on six of 15 attempts. Bryant Beck was his top target, picking up 31 receiving yards.

Winnebago's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Byron, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Winnebago will host Rock Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will be up against the Rockets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 49 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Byron, they are taking a road trip to square off against Durand/Pecatonica at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Rivermen have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
