Football Recap: Arvada West Wildcats vs. Chatfield Chargers

On Thursday, Arvada West faced Chatfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Arvada West Wildcats and the Chatfield Chargers were almost perfectly matched up, but the Arvada West Wildcats suffered a 22-21 loss. The Wildcats have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Although Arvada West took the loss, they still got scores from Jaiden Nichols, Adrian Symalla, and Noah Meurer. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Duhachek, who threw for 188 yards and a touchdown.

Arvada West will be playing in front of their home fans against Ralston Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ralston Valley will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Arvada West surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chatfield, they will venture away from home to take on Columbine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chatfield is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
