Flag Football Game Preview: Dothan Wolves vs. Russell County Warriors

The Dothan Wolves will head out on the road to take on the Russell County Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dothan's offense hasn't had much luck over their past four matchups, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Dothan is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alabama's top teams: Enterprise, who was ranked 14th at the time (Dothan was ranked 23rd). The Wolves fell 6-0 to the Wildcats two weeks ago. That's two games in a row now that the Wolves have lost by exactly six points.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 34 points the game before, Russell County was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They took a blow against Central, falling 48-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Warriors haven't been shut out since back in September.

Dothan's loss dropped their record down to 3-4. As for Russell County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-7.

Everything came up roses for Dothan against Russell County in their previous meeting back in September, as the squad secured a 31-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
