Volleyball Recap: Bridgeport Comes Up Short

Bridgeport extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 10-16. They lost 3-0 to the Scottsbluff Bearcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since September 4th.

Fallon Deblois paced Bridgeport's offense, picking up 14 kills. Deblois got some help from Avery Schneider and her 26 assists. Kendal Deaver controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

As for Scottsbluff, their victory bumped their record up to 16-14. They haven't had any issues with Bridgeport recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Scottsbluff was led to victory by Lillian Hays and Alainah Salas. Hays had 13 digs and one block, while Salas had 21 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Hays has posted over her last eight contests.

Bridgeport has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Mitchell on the 9th. As for Scottsbluff, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Chadron on the 9th.
