Softball Recap: Denham Springs Comes Up Short

Denham Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the St. Amant Gators. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 back in March.

Paisley Berry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and nine unearned) runs on 12 hits.

Denham Springs' loss dropped their record down to 8-19. As for St. Amant, their victory bumped their record up to 20-8.

Coming up, Denham Springs will head out on the road to face off against French Settlement at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Amant, they will take on Dutchtown at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
